People's Artist of Russia (2008). Born in Petrozavodsk. In 1984 she graduated from the Leningrad Academic Choreographic School (a student of Ninel Kurgapkina) and was accepted into the GATOB troupe named after S. M. Kirov (Mariinsky Theatre). Since 1987 — the lead dancer of the theater. A classical ballet dancer of lyrical and dramatic talent. From 2000 to 2013 — a ballet mistress at the Mikhailovsky Theatre.

Since 2013 — the first vice-rector and artistic director of the A. Y. Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. An awardee of the International Ballet Competition (Moscow, 1985). An awardee of the Baltika Prize (2002). In 2010, she was a member of the jury of the Golden Mask National Theatre Award.
