Artistic director and conductor of the folk instruments orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. He is one of the leading experts of the Conservatory, who leads the student orchestra, the class of ensemble and instrumentation at the Faculty of Folk Instruments.
He is the author of a study guide on conducting, which is based on his orchestrations, a chrestomathy for the bayan, a number of articles in scientific publications.
He graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in 1971 as a bayan and conducting class, then as an assistant-internship. Working at the Conservatory, Vyacheslav Glazunov creates a repertoire for various ensembles of Russian folk instruments, as well as for an orchestra of folk instruments.
