Artistic director and conductor of the folk instruments orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov.
Vyacheslav is one of the leading experts of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory Rimsky-Korsakov. Prof. Glazunov leads the student orchestra, leads the class of ensemble and instrumentation at the faculty of folk instruments. He is the author of a study guide on conducting (in two volumes), which is based on his own orchestrations, a chrestomathy for the bayan, a number of articles in periodicals and scientific publications.
He graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in 1971 as a bayan and conducting class, then as an assistant-internship. Working at the Conservatory, Vyacheslav Glazunov creates a repertoire for various ensembles of Russian folk instruments, as well as for an orchestra of folk instruments.
