Vadim Lobanov

People’s Artist of Russia, Professor, Head of the Department of Theatre Arts, Saint Petersburg State University.
Vadim Lobanov is a Soviet and Russian film and theatre actor, People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2007), the head of the Department of Theatre Arts of Saint Petersburg State University, a professor. He is a holder of the Order of Honor and Courage (2011) for achievements in social and cultural work for the benefit of the Russian state, the Order of the Heart of Danko for the revival of Russian traditions, the Badge of Honor "Silver Cross of the St. George Union" for the selfless service to the people and the Fatherland, humanity and brotherly mutual assistance, friendship of peoples and patriotic education of the younger generation. 

During his career, the artist has played about 140 roles in theatre and starred in 70 films, including Perestupit Chertu (Crossing the Line, directed by Y. Koltun), Dead Man's Letters (directed by K. Lopushansky), Stalingrad (directed by Y. Ozerov), Russian Ark (directed by A. Sokurov), Idiot, and Master and Margarita (directed by V. Bortko) 

The voice of Vadim Lobanov stars in many documentaries, popular science and feature films abroad. Over 300 films were shot at Lennauchfilm.
