Taras Ivchenko is an assistant professor of the Oriental Languages Department at the Institute of Linguistics, director of the Confucius Institute, Russian State University for the Humanities.
He graduated from Peking University, Faculty of Chinese Language (Ph.D.). Research direction: Chinese classical language, history of the Chinese language, modern Chinese language, Chinese linguistics, Chinese traditional philosophy and features of philosophical thought in ancient China.
Graduated from Moscow State University, Faculty of Philology, Department of Structural and Applied Linguistics.
In 2010, he was awarded the Chinese Government Prize for “Contributing to the Spread of the Chinese Language and Culture”.
