In his status of the Director of Alexandrinsky Theatre S. V. Yemelyanov launched large-scale renovation of the institution's touring projects, expanding the format of their conducting up to a cultural and business project "Days of the Alexandrinsky Theatre Abroad and in the Subjects of the Russian Federation". On S. V. Yemelyanov's initiative, global cultural-educational and project-strategic missions were added to the Alexandrinsky Theatre's creative initiatives and tasks.
He was born in 1993 in Ukhta, Republic of Komi. Since 2011, he has been successfully bringing projects into life in the field of culture and arts. In 2015, he graduated from the Ukhta State Technical University, majoring in management. In 2017, he had advanced training at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration taking additional professional program "Management in the Field of Culture". In 2019, he graduated from the Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University, majoring in culturology.
From 2011 — manager of the amateur association of the Municipal autonomous institution "The City Palace of Culture" of the municipal entity of the urban district "Ukhta". From 2013 — deputy director of the Municipal autonomous institution "The City Palace of Culture" of the municipal entity of the urban district "Ukhta". From 2015 — director of the Municipal autonomous institution "The City Palace of Culture" of the municipal entity of the urban district "Ukhta".
From October 2016 to April 2021 — Minister of Culture, Tourism and Archives of the Republic of Komi. In his time as the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Archives of the Republic of Komi as well as the Chairman of the Coordination Council for Culture and Arts in 2019–2021, S. V. Yemelyanov initiated and curated significant projects in the North of Russia. When directed by S. V. Yemelyanov, the Republic of Komi was permanently included in the TOP-10 regions leading in the speed of culture development (2017–2019).
Since 2018 (designated the Year of Culture in the region by the Head of Komi), the Northern Cultural Forum has been held in the capital city of the Republic of Komi on S. V. Yemelyanov's initiative. It's the main venue in the North of Russia for the dialogue of professionals from Russian and foreign cultural community. From April 2021 — Director of the Federal state budget institution of culture National Drama Theatre of Russia (Alexandrinsky Theatre).
