Saša Mesec is a curator at the Slovenian Alpine Museum. Since 2008 she has worked on various projects connected with rural area and cultural heritage protection.
She has worked as a project concept development consultant in the field of culture, tourism, agriculture and entrepreneurship on local, regional and international level. She was a member of the project development teams on different EU projects such as SY_CULTour (Synergy of Culture and Tourism), Danube GeoTour and DiStory (Digital Stories of Small historic towns). Since 2017 she has been employed at the Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana where she has been working on tangible and intangible mountaineering heritage. She was the author of Female Courage, an exhibition about Slovene women alpine climbers. She is also involved in the Alpine Convention projects and linking cultural and natural heritage in cooperation projects with other institutions and countries.
