PhD, Artist, Stage Designer.

„Sensitive observation of everyday life has always led me and my art to public space. It is here, at the meeting point of the city, the image, the artist and the viewer, where an active interpretative space is created, open and complementary to the work.”

Born in Poland in 1971, where he currently lives and works at the Gdańsk Academy of Fine Arts. For almost 25 years he has been working creatively in various artistic spaces: from stage design in theatre, through VJ'ing, performance and large-format outdoor projections, to interactive light installations. During his doctoral studies he began to explore the mutual relations and interpenetration of planes between light, viewer and space. What he emphasizes in his artistic search is to remain in dialogue with the recipient of art. He transforms his knowledge and experience into didactic workshops conducted in various academic centers in Poland, Europe and Africa and in studios: 332 Faculty of Pain5ng at the Academy of Arts in Gdańsk and at 313P of Stage Design Department or 310M at Media Arts Department at Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.

As an artist he is in constant movement between international light art festivals, individual exhibitions and NOKS collective curatorial projects. In 2018, he was the originator and main coordinator of the International Conference with Workshops for Students "Light as a Creative Tool" in Gdańsk. The next edition of this conference >LAACT 2.0< which was to be held this year in May in Wrocław - did not take place for obvious reasons.
