Olga Yanum graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Music in 1994 with a degree in Choir Conducting, class of Associate Professor L.A. Shimanovich. In 2003 she graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Music with a degree in Singing, class of N.A. Gubskaya, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus. In 2005 she received her Master’s Degree in Conducting in the Belarusian State Academy of Music. In 1993–1996 she was an artist of the State Academic Capella, also known as Grigori Shirma's State Academic Choir. Since 2007 till the present day she has been the Artistic Director of the Salutaris Chamber Choir under the Belarusian Union of Musical Workers. At different times the collective participated in international festivals of Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Latvia and Russia. In 2008–2010 Olga Yanum was a principal conductor and the Artistic Director of the Belteleradiocompany Honored Academic Choir of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2010 till the present day she has been a choirmaster of the Celebration Choir of the Cathedral of the 'Joy of All Who Sorrow' Icon of the Mother of God. 

The Salutaris Choir recorded three original CDs: Spiritual Music, Misty Lowlands (or "Tuman Yaram"), The Salt of Earth (or "Sol Zyamli"), two of which were created by young Belarusian composers specially for the Salutaris Choir. Three CDs of sacred songs were recorded by the Celebration Choir: compositions of the Russian spiritual tradition, Chants of the Russian Emigre Community at the request of American Archpriest Petr Perekrestov, original compositions to commemorate the 25th anniversary of creation of the Choir; author of the chants – Natalya Bogodaeva. 

In 1995–2017 she taught vocal courses and Conducting. She also served as a Head of the Minsk Theological Seminary. Since 2007 till the present day she has taught Conducting in the Belarusian State Academy of Music

Olga Yanum has the following awards: multiple Commendations of the Patriarchal Exarch, a Commendation of Patriarch Alexy, the Third Class Order of Princess Olga, Equal to the Apostles, a Medal of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk. In 2017 she was elected a member of the Church and Public Council for Development of Russian Liturgical Singing under the Moscow Patriarchate.
