Natalia Braginskaya is a member of the International Musicological Society (IMS), head of the IMS Study Group "Stravinsky: between East and West" and the IMS Regional Association of Eastern Slavic Countries. The main areas of her scientific interests is the work of Stravinsky, Shostakovich, cross-cultural musical ties.

Prof. Braginskaya is the editor of 15 collections of scientific articles. She is the participant and organizer of more than 50 conferences and scientific sessions in Russia and Europe. The most resonant scientific achievement is the sensational discovery in 2015 of the orchestral voices of Igor Stravinsky's lost symphonic play "The Funeral Song" op. 5; scientific management of the process of reconstruction of the score, on the basis of which the world premiere of the work under the leadership of Valery Gergiev (2016) and the first publication of the opus in the publishing house Boosey and Hawkes (2017), with a foreword and textual commentary of Natalia Braginskaya.

She is the author of more than 100 scientific works published in leading Russian and foreign publications (Brepols, Sorbonna, Bärenreiter, IUP USA).
