Mingzhou Zhang

President of the IBBY.
Mingzhou Zhang organized the 30th IBBY World Congress, which took place in Macao, China, in 2006. Until 2018 he was employed as General Secretary of the International Division of CCPPG Publishing House, which specializes in children's literature and press. Mingzhou Zhang is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Publishers' Association and Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society for Children's Literature Studies.
Received a bachelor's degree in management of foreign affairs at the Shanghai University of Foreign Languages. Worked in the Overseas Department of China Youth Travel Service Co., Ltd. and as a clerk in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. In 2003 was appointed Deputy General Director of International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). In 2008–2012 worked on the Executive Committee of IBBY. In 2012 Mingzhou served as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of IBBY-Asahi Reading Promotion Award (the project is financed by Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese national newspaper. Mingzhou was re-elected to the IBBY Executive Council in 2014. Served as Vice President of IBBY from 2016 to 2018, when he was elected to serve as the company's president for a period through 2020.
