After graduating Korean Film Academy, Min earned the MFA at the University of Paris VIII in 2001. He succeeded Joon-ho Bong as president of DGK (Directors Guild of Korea) since 2018. DGK, which Dong-hyuk Hwang ("Squid Game"), Chan-wook Park ("Old boy"), and other 400+ directors of Korea are members, is hosting Fair Remuneration Korea campaign, gender equality festival, and film festivals for film directors and industrial exports.
