Mikhail Umanets

Graduated from the Faculty of Popular Arts of GITIS University in 2007. Creator and Manager of “Library Man” independent theatre project. “Library Man” is about music, literature, theatre, and good company. The uniqueness of the project lies in the associative connections of various topics that change from one event to the next. Since the project was created in 2016, we dedicated “Library Man” projects to children, cities, traveling, love, spring, war, sport, German literature, winter, revolution, summer and Pushkin. The project is unique as it is not tied to a specific location. We visited the Manezh SCEH (Moscow), the Drama Art School Theatre (Moscow), the Age of Happiness Festival (Budva, Montenegro), Krylov-Fest (Moscow), Seasons Project, Dostoyevsky Library, Free 24, Falcon Design Plant, Khitrovka CC, and Derzhavin Museum in Saint Petersburg. Since 2007 he has been an actor with the Drama Art School Theatre. As a director, he staged the following shows: “Pushkin Goes to Africa” show (Drama Art School Theatre, 2018); “Shalyapin’s Evenings” show (Drama Art School Theatre, 2017); “Russian Revolution. Now and Here” Performance at Brunel Museum, London, 2017; Content Director, Theatre Nights at Manezh SCEH (Moscow, 2017, 2018).
