Melanie Fahden

Researcher, Education and Art Mediation Department, Hamburg Kunsthalle.
Received the degree of bachelor in Culturology and Art Practice with major subjects Art and Literature in Hildesheim and also studied fine arts in Portugal. Then, again in Hildesheim, she completed the master's program in the field of cultural education with specialization in Art Education and Mediation.

During her Master's degree program studies, she led numerous exhibition projects, such as the research and exhibition Counterworlds, a joint project between the Universities in Hildesheim and Innsbruck, as well as the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum in Hildesheim and the Ambras Castle Museum in Innsbruck. After completing her studies, Melanie Fahden worked as a freelance employee specializing in Memorial Education at the memorial at the former concentration camp in Neuengamme. She also taught at the elementary and district urban schools. Since March 2021, Melanie Fahden has been a Researcher at the Education and Mediation Department of the Hamburg Kunsthalle and is responsible for the work with senior schoolchildren, inclusion, visitors relation and leisure activities for children and families.
