In 2006, Maria Elkina graduated from the Faculty of Theory and History of Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. Her main spheres of interest are architectural and urbanist theories. Maria Elkina curated the exhibition Petersburg 2103, which presented the history of urban development in St. Petersburg and its possible new prospects. Author of a popular book Architecture: How to Understand It.
