Kate has been working on the Betina Museum of Wooden Shipbuilding, Croatia project from its very beginnings in 2014.
She has been the director of Betina Museum, since 2015. Under her guidance the Museum has received several awards for its contribution to the local community in the fields of education, learning and transfer of knowledge, the Museum won the Silletto Prize in 2018 and the European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra Award in 2019.

Kate graduated in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Zadar, Croatia.

She studies maritime heritage of the Mediterranean, with an emphasis on the intangible.

With the aim to promote maritime cultural heritage, she cooperates with many organisations and participates in various festivals and cultural events.

Kate is an acting member on the executive board of the Association of Mediterranean Maritime Museums.

Her special interests are in museum concept development and design, her research focuses on storytelling and collected artifacts.
