Jenny Saitzek

Studied high school art and history pedagogy in Bremen and completed her studies after passing the state exam. Already during her studies, she specialized in the field of museum pedagogics, including working as an intern and freelance employee at the Weserburg Museum of Modern Art and the Overseas Museum (Ubersee Museum Bremen) in Bremen.

From 2014 to 2018 among other things, Jenny Saitzek fulfilled the responsibilities of a mediator at the Folkwang Museum in Essen and at the museums of the North Rhine-Westphalia Art Collection in Düsseldorf, as well as acting head of the Education and Mediation Department of the Art Museum Mülheim an der Ruhr. In addition, she taught at the Adult Education Center, the German Children's Hospice Association, as well as at various open schools with extended school day and vocational schools, where Jenny Saitzek developed and successfully tested a number of education programms, continuing education courses and workshops for children, adults and teaching staff. In 2019, she returned to the Northern Lands, where, among other things, she combined her mediator's activities at the Hamburg Kunsthalle with teaching as a high school fine arts teacher at a regional school in Hamburg. Since April 2021, Jenny Saitzek has worked as a Researcher in the Education and Mediation Department of the Hamburg Kunsthalle and advises on programs for preschoolers and primary school children, children and family activities, as well as on the issues of inclusion and visitor relations.
