In 2003 Irina graduated from the Historical Faculty of Tomsk State University.

Irina was a methodist at the Institute of Distance Education of Tomsk State University. Then she was an Assistant Professor at the Museology Speciality at the Institute of Arts and Culture of Tomsk State University, the secretary of the Regional Competition "Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation", and also the Head of the leading educational program - Museology and Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage.

Since 2019, Irina has been a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Cultural Economics of the Higher School of Economics — Saint-Petersburg, where she is engaged in research of various formats for working with young people (the State Hermitage), gamification of sightseeing activities (the Russian Museum), and online education projects in museums (the State Hermitage) , and also teaches undergraduates "Management and Marketing in Museum Activities".
