Evgeny Artemov

Candidate of Historical Sciences, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation. Since 2000 he is a member of the international association of museums and institutes of the labor movement, since 2005 a member of the international coalition of museums of conscience, since 2007 a member of the Scientific Council of the German-Russian Museum Berlin-Karlshorst, and since 2013 a member of the Presidium of the Union of Museums of Russia. The author and project manager of the creation of the country's first Children's Historical Museum in 1996 and the Children's Museum Center for Historical Education in 1998, winner of the St. Petersburg Governor Prize. In 2001–2005, as part of a group of Russian-British experts, he participated as a teacher of the training workshops “Museums of the new economic conditions” in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, in the Arkhangelsk region, for the leading staff of museums in Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.

The author of more than 35 articles on problems of Russian history, strategic museum management, museology and museum pedagogy.
