Principal research focus — Soviet architecture of the Stalin era. At present, focuses on studying the heritage of foreign architects in the USSR, and international contacts of the Soviet architecture community in the 1920s – 1930s. Author of many publications on this topic, including monographs published in Russia and Germany. The most recently published book is called “European architects in Soviet urban construction in the era of the first Five-Year-Plans” (2017). Head of research projects, supported by stipends and grants of the RHSF and the RFBR (Russia), ACLS (USA), and DHI (Germany).
