Born in Mexico. Studied at the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance in Mexico and the English National Ballet School in London. From 1999 to 2007 the soloist of the Stuttgart Ballet.
In 2007 joined the Berlin State Ballet as the soloist. Since 2011 — principal dancer of the company.
Repertory at the Berlin State Ballet includes principal roles in ballets La Sylphide, Snow White, La Bayadere, OZ — The Wonderful Wizard, La Esmeralda, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet and other productions.
Global Ambassador of Mexican culture since 2010. Co-director of the Mexican National Dance Company. Founder of the International Dance Festival Danzatlán and the Elisa Carrillo Cabrera Foundation aimed at the development of dance and culture of Mexico. A theatre of the Mexican cultural center Bicentenario is named after Ms. Cabrera.
In 2019 became laureate of the International Ballet Prize Benois de la Danse (nomination “The Best Female Dancer” for the role of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet production by Nacho Duato).
