Elena Shmeleva

Head of the “Talent and Success” Foundation, the Head of the “Sirius” Educational Center, established by a decision of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in Sochi in 2015. The Center is engaged in the early identification, development and further professional support of children who have shown outstanding abilities in the field of arts, sports, natural sciences, as well as those who have achieved success in technical creativity. Training at the Center is conducted by leading teachers of physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology, sports schools, and Russian artists in the field of academic music, classical ballet and visual arts. Almost 40,000 students from 85 regions of Russia have already become the graduates of the Sirius Center. Ms. Shmeleva is a member of the Presidential Council for Science and Education. Besides, she was a co-chair of the electoral headquarters of the President of the Russian Federation and a candidate for the post of the Head of State Vladimir Putin. Cochairman of the Central Headquarters of the All-Russian People’s Front, she as well is supervising the work of the three thematic areas of the All-Russian People’s Front which are “Culture”, “Education” and “Science”. In 2015, she was thanked by the President of the Russian Federation “For Merits in the Development of the Personnel Professional Training System of the Russian Federation”. In 2018, she was awarded with the “Order of Friendship”. Candidate of Sociological Sciences.
