Anna Shtrom

Dean of the Piano Department, St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, Candidate of Art Criticism.
Candidate of Sciences in art criticism, laureate of international competitions, dean of the Piano Department of the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, consultant on the activities of the Federal Educational and Methodical Association of the first vice-rector for educational and methodical work of the Saint Petersburg State University.

As a pianist, she has performed solo concerts in Russia and abroad (Germany, USA, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia). She has toured as a lead musician with the Musica Viva chamber orchestra under the direction of Alexander Rudin, and also with the Vivaldi chamber orchestra under the direction of Svetlana Bezrodnaya at world-famous music festivals: Ohrid summer festival (Macedonia), Festival Ljubljana (Slovenia), Belgrade summer festival (Serbia). She has performed with the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Macedonian Philharmonic.

She combines pedagogical and concert activities with scientific research, makes presentations at international and national scientific conferences, holds master-classes in various cities of Russia.

Her main areas of research are chamber-vocal and piano music of Russian composers.

As part of the educational and methodological activity, she is engaged in the development and editing of Federal State Educational Standards for Higher Education and expert assessment of educational and methodological documentation. She is an expert of Rosobrnadzor (the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science) in licensing, accreditation, and control (supervision) in the field of education.
