Alexander Ivanov is an officer in charge of educational projects, an art manager, a researcher, a head of the art studio of the St. Petersburg non-governmental charity organization “Perspektivy” under Psychoneurological Residential Home No.3 in Peterhof.
Area of expertise — critical pedagogy, the art of interaction, institutional critique. He used to work with a few large Russian and international organizations (Manifesta 10, The European Biennial of Contemporary Art; ART PROSPECT, the International Public Art Festival; Cyberfest, the International Festival of Media Art; the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art; the State Hermitage Youth Education Center, etc.) He is the author of “Tracings Out of Thin Air” (a joint project with Joana Monbaron), a long-term interdisciplinary program addressing the issues of normalization, inclusion and disintegration in contemporary art.
