Japan took part in the VI St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum as the Guest Country of the event. The official delegation of Japan was headed by Ryoji Miyata, Head of the Japanese Culture Agency.
Residents of St. Petersburg and guests of the city visited concerts of classical and modern music performed by musicians from the Land of the Rising Sun and were impressed with the talent of Japanese musicians and directors. Summarizing the results of the visit of the Japanese delegation to the Forum, Ryoji Miyata, Head of the Japanese Culture Agency, said: “In my opinion, the VI St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, which was held before the Year of Japan and Russia, celebrated in our two countries in 2018, shall serve a new page in the process of strengthening and expanding cultural exchanges between our two countries. I am sure that the history of Japanese-Russian cooperation will continue. I will do everything in my power to help spearhead promotion of cultural exchanges between our two countries.” |
