Honorary status suggests an extensive event program representing the creative life and popularising the cultural heritage of the Caspian state. The official delegation will be led by Anar Karimov, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Prominent figures from Azerbaijani culture and arts will attend the Forum as part of the special program prepared by the Guest Country. The participation of Anar Karimov, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the Forum emphasizes the importance of bilateral relations in field of creative activity, and the study and promotion of cultural heritage.
Azerbaijan will have the opportunity to present its modern culture and traditions in a vivid and extensive manner. Among landmark events are the grand opening of the Azerbaijan’s permanent exhibition in one of the halls of the Hermitage Museum, groundbreaking on the site of the future monument to Uzeyir Hajibeyov in the Saint Petersburg garden that, in 2020, was named after the outstanding Azeri composer.
The music part of the program promises to be interesting. The most anticipated events include A Thousand and One Nights, the ballet by great Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov presented on stage of the Mariinsky Theater and the concert of jazz performers from Azerbaijan.
Visual arts will be represented with films of young Azerbaijani filmmakers.
These and many other exciting events from Azerbaijan, a Guest Country of the Forum Program will take place on 11-13 November 2021 as part of Professional and Public streams and the Festival Program of the Forum.
