X International Folklore Festival "How It Was on the Fontanka River"

The cultural project to support, develop and promote folklore singing art and conducting art, combining forms of concert work, competition of performers, master classes and academic discussions.

The festival is directed to preservation and development of the best traditions of national singing cultures; advancement of the arts educational system, development of innovative methods in educational process; search for new forms of artistic and aesthetic upbringing of the rising generation; finding and support of gifted young people in the field of culture and arts; development of inter-cultural dialogue and sharing creative, professional and pedagogical experience.

  • X Folklore Singing Arts Competition: award ceremony, roundtable on the competition results (see details on the institute website);
  • IV International Contest for Young Choir Conductors and Folklore Instrument Orchestra Conductors: 2nd round in category "Choir Conducting" and in category "Orchestra Conducting". Master classes (see details on the institute website).
