In the 21st century, the Korean film industry has made a giant step: the Korean cinematography has overcome niche demand, and become a global market leader. The Palme d'Or and four Oscars, which the film "Parasites" by Bong Joon-ho received, consolidated the Korean film industry's leading position at the world stage. Participants of the debates will discuss how and why South Korea has managed to hold its leading position on the world market, how the national cinematography can overcome the language and cultural barriers, and whether there are prospect for Russian-Korean cooperation in the field of cinema.
